Geloven in Amsterdam, over mensen met een geloof.
About 175 nationalities are living in Amsterdam and a lot brought their religions . That is why Amsterdam is one big melting pot of backgrounds, peculiarities and habits. Normal people living their day-to-day lives and about half of them somehow believe in God, Allah or Budha without bothering someone else.
Over a period of six years I respectfully photographed them in their private lives and moments. Not the usual pictures of rituals, but faith in daily life. Normal people affected by something. Those who want to convey that. And if that faith was Catholic, Islamic, Budhist or Jewish, that did not matter to me.
